HEART makes $700K loan to Core Housing for pre-development of 60 homes for veterans at the VA in Menlo Park
Grand opening in March, 2016. HEART made a $700,000 loan to Core Affordable Housing for the development of 60 units of affordable apartments for very-low and extremely low-income families, including at-risk and homeless veterans and their families on the Menlo Park VA site.

HEART is now located in a ground floor office at Peninsula Station, a mixed-use affordable housing development for 68 working families owned by MidPen Housing. We are directly across the street from Hillsdale Shopping Center.
Armando Sanchez has been named the new Executive Director of HEART, the Housing Endowment and Regional Trust of San Mateo County, an agency that raises money to address the challenge of housing needs in San Mateo County. Sanchez will begin his new role on March 14, 2016.
HEART made loans for land acquisition to EPA CAN DO in East Palo Alto. MidPen Housing has partnered with MidPen for 41 units of affordable senior housing on University Avenue, and repaid the HEART loans, thus allowing the funds to be reinvested in the community.
