HEART is now located in a ground floor office at Peninsula Station, a mixed-use affordable housing development for 68 working families owned by MidPen Housing. We are directly across the street from Hillsdale Shopping Center.
Thanks to our 380 guests who came to celebrate “Ten Years: A Thousand Doors,” HEART’s 10th Anniversary Luncheon” on May 15 in South San Francisco. HEART is pleased to announce the award of two grants of $12,500 each to MidPen Housing and AbleWorks for housing-related activities located in Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. These funds are being made available through the generosity of Facebook.

HEART said farewell to Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson, HEART Board Chair from February 2009 through December 2012, and founding member of the organization. She is retiring from public office. San Mateo Councilmember Jack Matthews, who will become the new Chair in January, 2013, presented an engraved vase to her (for Roses!) at HEART’s December board meeting.
