Senior Coastsiders

Senior Coastsiders serves as a resource for the entire local community for information on aging, support of caregivers, and the development of innovative approaches to address issues of aging.

The Senior Coastsiders program provides repairs to the homes of seniors and adults with disabilities living on the coastside from Pacifica to La Honda/Pescadero. It offers emergency repairs throughout the year and sponsors a one-day event for repairs that can wait until June. The purpose of the rehab program is to help seniors and adults with disabilities to live independently in their own homes for as long as possible.

Projects dealing with safety, health and accessibility issues are given priority. In the past they have installed wheelchair ramps, replaced unsafe stairs and porches, fixed plumbing problems, repaired furnaces, painted houses inside and out and cleaned out yards.

Homeowners must be at least 60 years of age or disabled and unable to do the repairs themselves. Recipients must meet income eligibility requirements. If you’re interested in applying, call Senior Coastsiders at 650-726-9056 or click here for an application.
