HEART said farewell to Supervisor Rose Jacobs Gibson, HEART Board Chair from February 2009 through December 2012, and founding member of the organization. She is retiring from public office. San Mateo Councilmember Jack Matthews, who will become the new Chair in January, 2013, presented an engraved vase to her (for Roses!) at HEART’s December board meeting.

Mark Moulton, new Executive Director of HEART
HEART and the Housing Leadership Council of San Mateo County are pleased to welcome Mark Moulton as their new executive director on July 1, 2011. The two organizations share staff while maintaining separate boards of directors.

Over 300 Attend Lunch to Benefit HEART

Breakfast at Trestle Glen affordable family homes in Colma
HEART hosted a breakfast for forty supporters at the newly-opened Trestle Glen family apartments in Colma, next to the BART station. Guests got to meet a resident, Princess S. (second from right) who told the story of her family’s search for affordable housing once their son was born.
